A donation to York County Community Foundation’s Embracing Aging Fund supports programs that improve how people experience aging in York County, PA.
We award grants to non-profit organizations serving people age 50 and older for new programs, expansion of existing programs, planning/research, or piloting a new idea.
Your donation will help us:
- Improve livability of York County, resulting in more age-equitable decisions, policies, and designs that help people live more easily in their homes and communities.
- Reframe stigma of aging in York County, resulting in less ageism, improved attitudes on aging, and increased age-equitable solutions to create a York County that is more welcoming, safe, appropriate, and adaptable for all ages.
- Improve quality of life of residents living in York County, resulting in more people thinking holistically about their aging experience and taking an active role in what they need to live their best life, now and in the future.
- Provide grants for programs serving people age 50+.
York County Community Foundation’s Embracing Aging Fund builds on the legacy of donor Anna Gardner, who left her estate to support the Hahn Home and care for older women.Now, 100+ years later, her legacy lives on through Embracing Aging, which includes grants for programs serving people age 50 and older.
